Who loves granola, rise his hand 🤚🏻!
I do love Granola in general so much ! and have recently shared the recipe and how-to steps on my instagram stories (M_Frehley), I got so many questions afterward and feedbacks, I decided to add it permanently to the blog ❤
Today’s recipe is a quick one, simple as the previous crunchy granola recipe here.
The bars are oil and refined sugar free. chewy in the inside and crunchy outside.
The recipe is suitable for breakfast, afternoon break, before or after a workout.
I sometimes add chocolate chunks on the top after the granola bars are cooked. And depending of the season, on winter I add pollen grains on top. It’s all customizable 🙂
I use what every nuts and oats I have in my kitchen. You can mix and add what ever you like.
Ingredients:
Dried ingredients:
- 2 cups Oat flakes
- 1 cup buckwheat flakes
- Buckwheat grains
- Coconut flakes
- Coconut chips
- Flaxseeds
- Pistachio
- Cashew nuts
- Pumpkin seeds
- Sun-flower seeds
- Hump hearts
- Gojis
- dried blueberries
- Dried raisins
- Almonds
- Walnuts
- Cinnamon
"wet" ingredients:
- 8 dates
- 4 Dried figs
- 3 TBSP apple sauce
- 2 TBSP agave sirop or honey
How-To
Pre-soak the dates, dried raisins and figs for 1h
Preheat the oven on 180°
Mix all dried ingredients (oat and nuts) with a pinse of salt
Place the dried ingredient on baking sheet and bake for 8 – 10mins until lightly toasted
While the nuts and oats are toasting, mix on high speed mixer the the dates, dried raisins and figs with honey.
Place all dried ingredients in a bowl, add the honey, date and figs mixture , add apple sauce.
Gentenly mix everything together, make sure none of the oats are dry
Place the mixture on a pan with baking sheet, use a spatula or a glass to press the mexture evenly into the pan.
Place the pan in the over and cook for 5mins. this will help all the ingredients to stick together and firm
Once cooked, let it cold a little bit (not totaly, and before it gets a bit hard and crunchy), cut into the desired shape and size & Enjoy !
The bars can be stored in the fridge or a freezer. I personnaly, put them in the freezer and only gets the wanted quantity out at night for next day breakfast.
Share the love, and let me know what you think about the recipe ❤
